Pretty cool stuff... Maybe you could get the Texas coaches, parents, fans, etc. to send you information about our top three TX wrestlers in each weight class and do something similar?

Admin: I can't get them to send in basic weights and results, so I don't think we are ready for a showcase.

no coaches in the corner. i think you need to pay better attention there where plenty of coaches(head coaches). everybody used the same rules so these results are good. it was the boys doing the wrestling that won these matches not the rules.

Actually the score was 5-4 in regulation time Salinas scored a late 3rd period takedown after seperating his shoulder.
Ialso believe he should be somewhere in the rankings he has beat Isaac Salinas who is a State Alternate and his only loss has been to Doyle by 1 point.

Salinas is a great wrestler. He has two losses to Doyle this season. Did Payne from Weatherford beat Salinas in the Frisco tournament semis?

Elijah Cook over Dylan Tolliver 8-1. (I think tolliver is wrestling at 45 not 52 now)
Thayer Atkins over Damion Heard 5-4 (huge win)
Dylan akers over Thayer Atkins 6-1. (Akers looks amazing, especially on his feet)
Christian Doyle wins in over time against Christian Selinas for the second time this year. ( Selinas should be an HM )
Nathan Schulman over Scott Akers 5-4 in double overtime. (Schulman is tough on his feet and looks much better on top this year, rode akers out for the win)
Dark Horse D'Andre Brumfield, Lake Highlands beats State HM David Brenner and goes on to win Dallas Open. (Brumfeild is still undefetaed on the season)
HM: Riley Curnett, pins HM: Tyler Waldrop,
Greg Wilson(the freakin hulk) has a solid 11-4 win over Manny Houllemont from plano east. (Houllemont is a tough wrestler though, he actually tossed wilson at one point in the match and nearly caught him, he is state level)
These are the ones I watched and can comment on. Hope this helps a little

The three problems with using these results are:
1. This was an open event that did not include coaches in the corners and was not part of the official season for those that entered
2. All wrestlers were given 3 pounds over scratch - once again an open that did not conform to the normal weight rules
3. The periods were 2-1-1 - There is a big difference in wrestling 4 minutes instead of 6

But a win over someone is a win over someone no matter what the circumstacnes are

i agree with Arlingfan1, i mean no one complains about the time in a consolation round match saying "if i would have had more time" and the times are the same which is 2-1-1, and nobody complains about the 2 pound growth allowance after the new year so your arguement is pointless here.

i agree with Arlingfan1, If you can go 6 minutes non-stop then 4 minutes shouldnt be a problem, i mean no one complains about the time in a consolation round match (2-1-1) saying "if i would have had more time", and nobody complains about the 2 pound growth allowance after the new year so your arguement is pointless here. Its simple you won or you didnt regardless of the circumstances.

Tri-State at Lake Highlands might shake up a the rankings a little bit. A lot of good wrestlers means, a lot of upsets.
In order to be the best, you have to beat the best.
