The video coverage is ground breaking no doubt, and we need to thank past Team Texas coaches Steve Davis and Tim Marzola for pioneering the streaming coverage and showing USAW how easy it was to do. Steve & Tim started live Voice broadcasts first from the Junior National Duals and then from Fargo back as far as 2005. They were such a hit that they were asked to broadcast the finals for two years that I know of. We first started with Tiger Miller doing the geek work and going through Live365. Then we realized that Jim Giunta and his crew offered free streaming voice and video through their software, all you needed was a laptop and mic. That was exciting as it gets to hear Justin Wren win a national championship live on a Texas broadcast.
They will be covering only the raised mat #1 that is front & center of the 23 mats in the Fargodome. I think it will just be luck of the draw as to who gets mat 1, but surely they will steer past champs there.
